NKP - New Financial Services Guide + Update
New Financial Service Guide
We have recently updated our Financial Services Guide. Please note that this does not change our currently agreed arrangement with you.
With the Coalition forming a majority government, we don't expect to see too many changes to what had already previously been announced in the Federal Budget. The Stockmarket rallied off the back of this victory as uncertainty around franking credit refunds and other proposed Labor tax policies disappeared.
We are very excited to hear that John and his wife Allison are expecting child number three later this year. Big brothers Elijah and Asher are anxiously awaiting on the arrival of the new baby! A big congratulations to the Kritsimas family as they enjoy another milestone year for their family.
Andrew will be away from the office from 28th June to 29th July. If you require assistance through this time, please call the office or email firstname.lastname@example.org and the team will be able to help you.
Courtney and Evan are progressing well through their studies to become authorised at the end of this year. We are really pleased with their progress and are proud of their accomplishments in the journey towards becoming advisers.
Updating our records
We are in the process of sending out a letter to all of our ongoing clients to request a number of potential documents that require updating for our files (we live in a compliance focussed world!). These include:
A new Adviser Service Agreement - we have changed our agreement to include a clause which stipulates that we will turn off our fees if we have been unable to provide you with advice for a period of more than two years. This is a commitment from us to provide you with comfort that you will never be charged a fee for no service by our business. Your agreed fees and our service standard will remain the same.
Option to quote Tax File Number - if we don't have this on file, we will send a new one to be completed. This allows us to keep your Tax File Number on record.
Request for Certified Copy of ID - Under Anti-Money Laundering requirements - advisers have an obligation to verify the identify of clients prior to receiving a designated product or service. Part of that obligation is that we keep a current certified Identification Document for all of our clients on file. If the ID we have on file for you has expired, we will request a new copy.
In the instances above, we will only send the documents relevant to you. If you have any questions, please call or email us regarding this.
All the very best,
Andrew, John and the team at NKP
